The school has a well-equipped Health Room staffed by qualified doctors and nurses. They are available during school hours to administer first aid and basic nursing care to students who get injured or unwell during the school day.
On admission to the school, all students need to complete a health form and undergo a basic health check. Parents are asked to update this health information and any emergency contact numbers on an annual basis. They are also expected to provide information to the school nurses if a change in their child’s health condition occurs at any time during the year.
The Health Room carries emergency resuscitation equipment for use in case of a life threatening illness. The school has instant access to Primus Hospital, located two minutes from the school, for emergency care and treatment if required.
The Health room staff actively encourages healthy living and offers regular health updates in the fortnightly news bulletin and the daily bulletin.
All annual trips are escorted by trained nurses, who administer basic first aid and nursing care to the sick/injured, if required.
